Indian Air Force has issued an official notification regarding the recruitment of Agniveer Vayu. The AGNIPATH Scheme was launched on 14th June 2022 by the Ministry of Defence, India. Candidates who meet the necessary qualifying requirements and are interested to join the Indian Air Force can submit their applications through the Indian Air Force’s official website. The online Indian Air Force application submission will be started on July 27, 2023.

Age Limit: Candidates born between 26th December 2002 and 26th June 2006 (both days inclusive) are eligible to apply. In case, a candidate clears all the stages of the Selection Procedure, then the upper age limit as of the date of enrolment is 21 years.
Educational Qualifications
Science Subjects: Candidates who are going to submit their application under the Science Subjects category must have any one of the following educational qualifications.
➡️ Candidates should have passed the Intermediate/ 10+2/ Equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics and English from an Education Board listed as a COBSE member with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
➡️ Who have passed three years of Diploma Course in Engineering (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Automobile/ Computer Science/ Instrumentation Technology/ Information Technology) from a Government recognized Polytechnic institute with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in diploma course (or in Intermediate/ Matriculation, if English is not a subject in Diploma Course).
➡️ Who has passed two years of Vocational Courses with non-vocational subjects viz. Physics and Maths from State Education Boards/Councils which are listed in COBSE with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in vocational courses (or in Intermediate/ Matriculation, if English is not a subject in Vocational Course).
Other Than Science Subjects: Candidates who are going to submit their application under the Other Than Science Subjects category must have any one of the following educational qualifications.
➡️ Passed Intermediate/ 10+2/ Equivalent Examination in any subject approved by Central/ State Education Boards listed as COBSE member with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.

Examination Fee of Air Force Recruitment
The candidate must pay the examination fee of Rs. 250 when registering for the online test. Through the payment gateway, the transaction can be paid for using debit cards, credit cards, or Internet banking. At any Axis Bank branch, the exam fee may also be paid by challan payment.

4️⃣ In that portal, you will get the option to register yourself.

7️⃣ Now, you have to pay the examination fee.
8️⃣ After successful payment, your application will be submitted.
9️⃣ Also, you will receive an acknowledgement copy of your submission.
✅ Keep that acknowledgement copy for future use.

Online Test of Air Force Recruitment
Candidates who submit online applications for Indian Air Force Recruitment will have to attend an online test. Indian Air Force will issue the provisional admit card to the eligible candidates 48 to 72 hours before the exam. Also, candidates will be informed about the same on their registered email addresses. Candidates have to download their admit cards and take a colour printout. They will need to carry their admit cards to the examination centre on the day of the online test as indicated on their respective admit cards to appear in the selection test.
Marking Pattern: One mark for every correct answer.
Negative Marking: 0.25 marks shall be deducted for each wrong answer.
Note: Candidates are to bring one blue/black pen and original AADHAR card along with them for Phase-I testing.
Science Subjects
For the candidates who will submit the application for the category of Science Subjects, their exam pattern will be as follows.
Type of Exam: Online Test
Duration of Exam: 60 Minutes
Syllabus of Exam: English, Physics and Mathematics as per 10+2 CBSE syllabus.
Other Than Science Subjects
For the candidates who will submit the application for the category of Other Than Science Subjects, their exam pattern will be as follows.
Type of Exam: Online Test
Duration of Exam: 45 Minutes
Syllabus of Exam: English as per 10+2 CBSE syllabus and Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA).
For Both Subjects
For the candidates who will submit the application for the category of both Science Subjects & Other Than Science Subjects, their exam pattern will be as follows.
Type of Exam: Online Test
Duration of Exam: 85 Minutes
Syllabus of Exam: English, Physics and Mathematics as per 10+2 CBSE syllabus and Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA).
Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
Candidates who qualify the online test will be called for the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) of the Indian Air Force. The list of shortlisted candidates will be published on the official web portal. The Physical Fitness Test (PFT) of the Indian Air Force will consist of the following tasks.
Running: The candidate has to complete a 1.6 km run within 6 minutes and 30 seconds.
Push-ups: The candidate must complete 10 push-ups within the stipulated time.
Sit-ups: The candidate must complete 10 sit-ups within the stipulated time.
Squats: The candidate must complete 20 squats within the stipulated time.
Note: Candidates are advised to bring their sports shoes and shorts/ track pants.
Mandatory Medical Standards
General Medical Standards for Agniveer Vayu are as follows:-
✅ Height: Minimum acceptable height is 152.5 cm (For Male candidates) and 152 cms (For Female candidates).
✅ Chest: The chest wall should be well proportioned with a minimum range of expansion of 5 cm.
✅ Weight: Proportionate to height and age.
Corneal Surgery (PRK/ LASIK) is not acceptable. Visual requirements are as applicable as per Indian Air Force standards.
✅ Hearing: Candidate should have normal hearing i.e. able to hear forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters with each ear separately.
✅ Dental: Should have healthy gums, a good set of teeth and a minimum of 14 dental points.
✅ General Health: The candidate should be of normal anatomy without loss of any appendages. He should be free from any active or latent, acute or chronic, medical or surgical disability or infection and skin ailments. Candidate shall be physically and mentally FIT to perform duty in any part of the world, in any climate and terrain.
