Oil India Limited has issued the official OIL India Nursing Admission 2023 notification for admission into the three-year General Nursing and Midwifery Course at Oil India Hospital Duliajan’s School of Nursing for the academic year 2023-2024. Female candidates from the districts of Dibrugarh, Tinsukia, Sivasagar, and Charaideo in Assam, and Changlang in Arunachal Pradesh, who are interested and eligible, can register online for this course.

Eligibility Criteria of OIL India Nursing Admission

Educational Qualification: A minimum of 10+2 class pass from a recognized board in any stream with English and a minimum aggregate of 40% marks for General applicants (5% relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/MOB/PWD students). Candidates who completed their 10+2 in science with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology will be given preference.

Marital Status: Only unmarried female candidates are eligible to apply.  

Domicile: Female candidates of District Dibrugarh, Tinsukia, Sivasagar, and Charaideo of Assam and Changlang District of Arunachal Pradesh can apply.

Age Limit: Candidates must be between the ages of 17 and 25 on December 31, 2023. 

Age Reduction: The following are the exceptions to the upper age limit for reserved categories:

Physical Fitness: Candidates must be physically fit and will be finally selected for admission only after they are declared fit by the OIL medical board.

Selection Process of OIL India Nursing Admission

The following stages comprise the screening procedure for OIL India Nursing Admission: 

Written Test: Eligible candidates will be required to take a written exam. The pass score in the written exam is 45% for general candidates and 40% for SC/ST/OBC/MOB/PWD candidates.

Subjects/ Syllabus: The entrance exam will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQ) drawn from the Class X curriculum and will cover the following subjects: 

The test will last 02.00 hours and will be worth 100 points. The questions will be written in English. Candidates who pass the written test will be considered for selection on a provisional basis depending on their performance in the written test.

Document Verification: Provisionally selected candidates will have to appear before a Board for original document verification and medical examination.

Training Period: Following completion of the GNM Course, selected applicants will be expected to complete a one-year mandatory post-qualification practical training in the company-managed health and medical units. They must finish their whole training duration (including one year of mandatory practical training); alternatively, the course fees must be reimbursed if they discontinue their course/training on their own.
