On May 23rd, 2023, the Directorate of Elementary Education in Assam released an official notification regarding the availability of the Final Merit List for LP/UP Teacher Recruitment. Candidates who applied online for the recruitment of 5320 Assistant Teacher positions in Lower and Upper Primary Schools in Assam and attended the document verification process to confirm their eligibility for the recruitment can now check their final Merit List from midnight on May 23rd, 2023. The TET Assam Merit List will be posted on the official website of DEE, Assam.

Important Notes on DEE Merit List

1. Any adverse report resulting from verification of the documents regarding fake or forged documents submitted by the candidates will automatically lead to the cancellation of candidature as mentioned in the advertisement.

2. The Provisional Merit List will automatically stand cancelled on publication of the Final Select List. Appointment letters will be issued only to the candidates whose names appear in the Final Select List.

3. Any claim for appointment on the basis of Provisional Merit List/s will not be entertained.

4. Any genuine grievance along with documentary evidence regarding the Provisional Merit List will be addressed on 10th & 11th May 2023 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM in the Conference Hall of the Directorate of Elementary Education, Assam, Kahilipara, Guwahati-19.

How to Download Assam TET Merit List?

As per the official notification, The Candidates who have already submitted online applications for the 5320 Posts of Assistant Teacher of LP Schools and Assistant Teacher & Science Teacher of UP Schools will be able to download their provisional merit lists from the official website on 8th May 2023. the merit list will be published at midnight on 8th May 2023. The merit list will be a PDF file where the application number of the eligible applicant will be mentioned along with their total marks and other details.

Selection Process of Assam TET Recruitment

The selection of candidates will be in the order of merit considering reservation for EWS/ OBC/MOBC/ SC/ ST(P)/ ST(H)/ PWD etc. and marks will be allotted as follows.

For Lower Primary Teacher

Note: Any other marks obtained in other exams such as HSLC or Equivalent, Graduation, Post-Graduation and other Professional Qualification not mentioned in the guideline of NCTE will not be considered.

For Upper Primary Teacher

Note: Any other marks obtained in other exams such as HSLC or Equivalent, Post-Graduation, and other Professional Qualification not mentioned in the guideline of NCTE will not be considered.
